Overcoming Old Habits With Q-Flow Exchange Bridge

Written by NEXA | Oct 18, 2016 5:14:39 AM

Organisations upgrading from personal calendars to enterprise-grade appointment management solutions like Q‑nomy’s Q-Flow, know what they’re gaining. Q-Flow delivers the type of calendar capacity management and resource optimisation, cross-department load balancing, and real-time management tools that personal calendar systems cannot offer. Not to mention the many back-office and Omni-channel integration options offered by Q‑nomy.

However, many businesses face an obstacle in the form of old usage patterns. Employees are not keen on leaving their personal calendar interface - most often, at least in the case of Q-nomy customers, that would be Microsoft Outlook®, powered by the enterprise Exchange Server.

One of Q-nomy’s key success factors in convincing these businesses to adopt Q-Flow is the QXB module, short for “Q-Flow eXchange Bridge”. QXB provides reliable, out-of-the-box, two-way integration between Q-Flow Calendar server and Exchange (whether cloud-based or on-premise). It lets staff continue using Outlook the way they’re used to, manage their availability by blocking out timeslots on their calendar without having to access Q-Flow administration screens, and view any appointments scheduled for them via any of the multiple channels managed by Q-nomy — mobile app, website, call-center agents, etc.

Old habits no longer impede businesses' adoption of Q-Flow, and users no longer need to choose between the convenience of their personal Outlook view and Q-Flow’s business features: with QXB they can enjoy the best of both worlds.
